You will most likely come across our four little hens roaming freely in the garden, as well as the house cat – a discreet and affectionate companion who sometimes enjoys keeping travelers company. The saltwater pool, heated to a minimum of 21°C (from late April to September, depending on the weather), offers a long swimming lane perfect for relaxation. A barbecue, a ping-pong table, a few bicycles, and a large private garage are also at your disposal. You will also find numerous museums and architectural treasures there. Nearby, enjoy water activities at the Châteauneuf lake, or discover the great Cognac houses, carrying on their traditions all around the property. Bordeaux is 1 hour away, Cognac 40 minutes.

We welcome you to our "Maison du Gardien" ( The Caretaker’s House) a 19th Century distiller's house which has been lovingly renovated to create a place of contemporary design, contemplation and relaxation. Located next to our own home you can enjoy an evening meal on your own private terrace but also get the use of our pool, gym, bikes and parking on our gated property. The two bedroom house is light and airy with beautiful views over our garden which reaches down to the river Charente.

This cycle route connects the Charente maritime estuary to Sarlat La Caneda in the Dordogne over 400km.
