We have a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, electric oven, fridge with small freezer, kettle, microwave. Tea and coffee are provided. Smart 40 inch TV in lounge with comfortable sofa/sofa bed if required. Bedroom has a kingsize ziplink bed which can be made into 2 singles if required. It is just a short walk to the University of Essex via Wivenhoe Public pathway. The the train station is also only 15 minute walk away through the Wivenhoe trail. Ideal for 1-2 guests, but a baby or small chid is welcome (providing that you bring your own travel cot & bedding with you).

Riverside gem with a nautical past

In the heart of lower Wivenhoe on the quay, our little self-contained cottage was once part of the home of The Colne Marine and Yacht Company. Its thick brick walls and quiet and pretty disposition, defy its former role as a working yard where timber yachts were crafted and repaired, drawn up inside at high tide. Emma and Charlie welcome guests back time after time to relax and enjoy this very special place. We hope you will join them.

Family friendly home in Rowhedge

Rowhedge is a pretty riverside village, just 15 minutes drive from Colchester and Essex University and 40 minutes from Harwich. Woodbine House is located on a quiet street, with access to a large recreation ground and children's play park. There are plenty of lovely walks close by through the woods or alongside the River Colne or Roman River. The riverfront is a short walk down the hill.
