Wonderful eco-sustainable French style cottage built of stone and native timber with picturesque views of the river valley and mountains. Near to Carterton, Greytown and Masterton. Drink pure artesian spring water while listening to abundant birds and sitting on your veranda. Go for a bush walk in the National Park across the river, go biking, play golf - or visit the vineyards and restaurants for a vibrant time. Longforde Cottage

Welcome to Longforde, a very special, charming and beautifully furnished cottage attached to our main home but completely independent with your own access and landscaped to ensure your absolute privacy. Set on 4 acres of stunning gardens, each room has private rural views of the countryside and Tararua ranges. We are located at the end of one of Greytowns most beautiful streets, a walkable 2km into the shops and cafes. As well, we are on a popular walking and biking route to the Waiohine river.

The Gatehouse - vintage cottage with rural views

Relax on the window seat with views over farmland in this charming vintage cottage. The deck is a sunny peaceful spot for morning coffee and, at night, for taking in the stars of the internationally renowned Wairarapa Dark Sky. The plumpy fireside sofa is perfect for sinking into with a glass of wine. The Gatehouse is only six minutes drive from Martinborough and 11 minutes to Greytown. It has two bedrooms with queen beds, a kitchen/dining space and bathroom with high pressure shower.

Cosy Greytown Retreat

Take a break and unwind in picturesque Greytown. There is something to see and do, whatever the season. Nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac, this two bedroom unit is perfect for a couple looking to enjoy some quiet time away. After a day of shopping or taking a bike ride along the rail trail come back to the log fire which makes for a perfect setting to sit back, relax, read a book or watch a favourite movie. Offering two bedrooms - one queen bed and one double bed for a comfortable stay.

The house for all seasons, occasions and ages. Double glazed with new thermal curtains. Heat pump and log burner in downstairs living room and heatpump in upstairs bedroom to keep you cosy in winter and cool in summer. The grounds are spacious and private. Great for playing games, BBQ and evening drinks on the sun-drenched deck or in front of the outdoor fireplace. Toys, board games, bikes and sports equipment are provided. Prior approval for pets is required ($20 per stay)

Ride, roam relax at our mountain bike park. Maximum peace and quiet on top of a hill with nothing but views. Once you have finished relaxing you can go for a mountain bike ride and choose from 20 tracks. Cold? No problem, the fire will be set up ready to light upon arrival. Cheese board and wine supplied when you arrive and a breakfast basket of locally sourced/ NZ made produce all included in your stay. Don't forget your togs for the hot tub with an incredible view.

Country Bliss : charming historic cottage

Country Bliss Cottage is an original historic Greytown cottage its origins dating back to the 1880's . The cottage still retains its original character and charm but with modern day comforts. The garden is private and sunny with an abundance of bird life, mature fruit trees and cottage garden flowers. The decor is a mixture of vintage and new with quality furnishings throughout . A roaring log-fire with all firewood supplied makes for a cosy winter retreat.

The Hut

The hut is a beautifully crafted off the grid cabin located located on a sheep and beef farm, Daisybank, just minutes out of Martinborough . Open the doors right up on a nice day and enjoy the fresh air or cozy up with a blanket on the couch in front of the fire when the weather makes you want to bunker down. The outdoor bath is the icing on the cake to allow you to take in the views while relaxing in the tub

Quiet Getaway

Come and relax off grid, literally, we run on solar energy here. Close to Mount Holdsworth and even closer to Rivenrock Mountain Bike Park, we’re also only 15 minutes drive to either Carterton or Masterton. You will have the attached and spacious extension of our home to yourselves with your own access and parking. Enjoy the rural outlook, birdlife and starry night skies of our Wairarapa Dark Sky Reserve.
