The village also boasts the La’al Ratty; a famous Lake District steam railway. The property sleeps 4 people in 2 rooms- One double & One Twin. With both modern and original nautical features, this property is a very cosy and unique stay. Located in an ideal location to discover the Lake District via foot or train.

Cockermouth & Keswick are a short drive away along with the seaside towns of Maryport & Whitehaven & the beaches at Allonby & St Bees. Easy access to the Lakes & the Western Wainwright Fells.

The Barn - a cottage in our barn near Ullswater

A bright, airy cottage in a converted barn on our small farm near Ullswater. There's plenty of space to spread out and relax with views to the front and rear straight onto the fells capturing sunrises and sunsets alike. Two bedrooms comfortably sleep up to 5 with the large double height kitchen/dining room a perfect space for a larger get-together. The downstairs includes the kitchen, sitting room, a bedroom and the bathroom and has been specifically designed to be wheelchair friendly.
