The house is located directly on the Menominee River, and has a full kitchen, dining room, living room, and natural fireplace in an open concept space that is filled with natural light from a multitude of windows. Very cute and cozy home to enjoy Door County from. Large, private back yard with pergola and plenty of patio seating including a fire pit area. Charcoal grill on site. Home is centrally located between Washington Island and Egg Harbor. It's within .4 mile walking distance to downtown Sister Bay. If you love tranquil cozy cabins in the woods, you will love Sylvatica Ecolodge! Sylvatica is a latin word meaning "of the forest" and this lodge is exactly that. It's a 4-acre property adjacent to the Hiawatha National Forest with a very diverse mature hardwood forest, a 0.5 acre planted prairie, a pond, woodland plant gardens, and butterfly/hummingbird gardens. The property includes a 0.3 mile long interpretive nature trail explaining the natural environment and history.
