Waltonville House (Jefferson County)near Rend Lake

The area is great for hunting deer, turkeys, and other wildlife. Mt. Vernon & Rend Lake have a golf course. It is about 5 min from a Rend Lake boat ramp(Waltonville, Turnip Patch, Jackie Branch). Rend Lake S Sandusky Beach is about 20 miles. A discount is given for long term stays. It is about 13 miles south of Mt. Vernon, 7 miles from Nason, & 8 miles north of Sesser. It is located near restaurants & gas stations. I have a folder on the table with some local restaurants with menu & location.

Serene country stay. Great for a couple, an outdoorsman, or travelers! Includes use of pond, fishing poles, kayaks, and hiking trail. Our pet ducks roam freely about. Use of gas grill, firepit and firewood. Bow target available upon request. This cabin is located on our 20 acre property, less than 10 minutes from Rend Lake, I57 access, and public hunting land and within 1 hour of the Shawnee National Forest. Its a 12x20 studio cabin with 1 full bed and 1 twin foam couch. We don't allow pets.

With less than 5 miles to the nearest boat ramp, this home is great for those who want to fish on Rend Lake (our area is great for hunting, too). Hardwood floors, porcelain tile (including a heated bathroom floor), leather furniture and a gas fireplace make the inside clean and relaxing. A spacious paved patio with plenty of seating and a charcoal grill make the outside just as enjoyable! Single night stays during peak season can be requested on a case by case basis. The Spillway Cabins are new construction with new everything! Our little slice of heaven is yours to explore and enjoy. Each cabin(west and east) have 2 br/2bth, hot tub, gas grill, Starlink internet, large flatscreen TV’s, fully stocked kitchen, and fire pits! From the south side of the cabins you will find a pathway that will take you through our 7 acres of woods and down to a lakeside pergola that has comfortable outdoor furniture, a bar, and view of our beloved Centralia Lake and spillway.

Tiny Home of Whittington

This cozy tiny home is located a little over one mile off of Interstate 57 and within two miles of Rend Lake. Whether traveling through and needing an easy one night stay or a weekend getaway, this is the place for you. Located in the quiet village of Whittington, the property has great access to the area while providing a peaceful stay on the edge of the country. Our property has multiple rental buildings, but there is plenty of parking space for anyone traveling with a pickup and trailer.

Relax with the whole family in this newly renovated retreat in woods on lake point. Sip coffee on second story patio with a nearly 360 view of the private lake, where you will see ducks and geese, as well the occasional bald eagle or swan. Enjoy a walk in the woods and don't be surprised to see deer out front. Fish the stocked lake off of our roughly 2,000 feet of shoreline. Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room! Whether you’re just passing thru or spending some time in Southern IL, for work or pleasure, we would love to host you. This house is spacious, with a beautiful kitchen if you want to cook and a HUGE lawn if you need some peaceful outdoors time. Our local area has many hiking opportunities to explore, the Southern Illinois Wine Trail surrounds us, and the back roads have country views that are breathtaking. Our cabin will be waiting for your arrival or return, well equipped with a 55" TV above the gas fireplace, a comfortable King size bed, and an amazing back porch with a Weber Grill and huge hot tub.

We have a 2000 sq. ft. home located on 3 acres in a very country setting. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, master bed room has queen size bed, second bedroom has full size bed and third bedroom has 2 twin beds. Large master bath with large soaking tub and shower. Spacious kitchen is set up to cook if you like, . The back porch over looks the woods and fields with lots of deer siting. Our location is very quit and peaceful. also there is a garage you have access to.

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful country lodge. It is back in a wooded area private, quiet, and peaceful. Enjoy the gorgeous sunsets while roasting hot dogs and s’mores over the fire. (Wood provided) There will be lots of wildlife to enjoy during your stay. We do use the pole barn located in front of the house so we are in and out some but mostly you have the place to yourselves but if we do cross paths we’ll be happy to meet you!
