Welcome to Moose Mansion, our peaceful A-Frame escape sitting just off the North Fork of the Colorado River. We're just minutes from the historic downtown Grand Lake, the East entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, hunting, fishing, world-class snowmobiling, sailing, SO MANY MOOSE, and much more. We renovated the cabin to bring all the comforts of home to our "home away from home" in the mountains. Our family has made many memories here, and we're hopeful you'll be able to do the same.

Brand New Cabin at Rocky Mountain National Park

Entire brand new, modern & bright cabin. We lost the cabin in 2020 in one of the largest wildfires in Colorado history, and just finished rebuilding. What we lost from the seclusion of trees, we gained in 360 degree views of Kawuneeche Valley & Rocky Mountain National Park. Nature has rebounded quickly & you will see abundant wildlife grazing the meadow, with moose and elk visiting daily. You can snowmobile/ATV from cabin to trails in less than 10 min. 4WD/AWD HIGHLY RECOMMENDED in Winter.

Relax and Watch Wildlife

Sit back and relax in our 3-bedroom, 2-bath cabin. The cabin is 10 minutes from the west entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, 10 minutes from cross-country/snowshoeing/snowmobile trails, 2 minutes from mountain lakes (for boating, fishing, and skiing), 25 minutes from Ski Granby, and 40 minutes from Winter Park Ski. After enjoying the outdoors, return to a cozy fire or enjoy wildlife from the patios. Long driveway for multiple cars. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by family.

Peaceful Mountain Retreat This beautiful, newly remodeled, Cabin is located on Wood Pecker Hill in the Historic Town of Grand Lake with walking distance to the sandy beach, the boardwalk and the classic hiking trails of Rocky Mountain National Park. It is a stand alone, family owned cabin built in 1903, in the most quiet part of town. Please note! We cannot accommodate for RVs, Boat or Snow Mobile Trailers. 4 Wheel Drive is recommended in winter. Welcome & Enjoy your stay!

Classic Colorado A-frame on the creek

This charming A frame is so cozy! The living room, dining space and kitchen greet you right as you walk in. The house has a wonderful layout for families, with bathrooms on the main level and the walk out basement, and two living areas. There are large decks off the front and back of the house, adirondacks and picnic table allow taking in the gorgeous view and listening to the seasonal creek very comfortable. Two parking spaces and snowmobiles can be parked right off the road.

Historic 2.5-bedroom cabin w/sleeping porch

Historic cabin located just blocks from Grand Lake, the town beach, playground, and the boardwalk with shops and restaurants. Enjoy it's full kitchen,BBQ,firepit,canoe,and bike. The 3rd bedroom is a sleeping porch that can easily accommodate four. Our family has been living here full time for the past 4 years during which cabin has been remodeled. Therefore you will experience the comforts of home (not a corporate AirBnb) and we ask you treat as you would your own home.

Yampa Blue Tiny Home near Elk River

Yampa Blue Tiny Home is a cozy, modern 1 bedroom, 1 bath with high vaulted ceilings, natural light & a back patio looking out to the mountainside. This modern tiny home is perfect for a single or couple. It has a queen bed & dining area table. It is in close proximity to a community BBQ, yard games & campfire in the summer. This cabin has a small kitchenette for simple cooking. Feel free to bring your cooler, camp stove and a bag of ice. Kick back and keep it simple.

Whistle Pig Retreat @ 22 West

Adjacent to Routt National Forest and the Zirkel Wilderness. Nestled in the aspen and pines with private trails for hiking, biking, xc ski and snowshoe. 4wd or AWD preferred travel in winter. The Marmots, will often make an appearance. Wildlife abounds, moose, deer, elk pronghorn, bear, wolf and fox as well as many species of bird call this special place home. The spacious deck overlooks the forest and the mountains as well as the warm water ponds.
