Welcome to Hovey Metal and ‘wild and scenic’ northeast Tennessee! We are excited to share this beautiful, active area within minutes of the Appalachian Trail, Nolichucky River and Cherokee Natl Forest! The house with all amenities is nestled in Bailey Hollow close to Rte 26 between Asheville NC and Johnson City TN. Outdoor activities including hiking, rafting. Festivals, charming downtown Erwin, 30 minutes to historic Jonesborough with the Intl Storytelling Center and Bristol Motor Speedway.

Our mountain sanctuary

Come relax and play in the great outdoors. Our area is abundant with lakes, rivers, waterfalls and hiking (the Appalachian trail is just a mile away). Our rustic cabin is built from 1875 hand hewn logs and is located on Spivey Creek in Unicoi County Tennessee. The towns of Erwin TN and Burnsville NC are just down the mountain for shopping convenience. For the arts, entertainment and airport convenience Asheville NC and Johnson City TN are less than an hour away. Come stay in our lovely cabin.

Leaky Creek Wizard Cottage

Calling all Wizards and Witches! Leaky Creek Wizard Cottage is now open for business. This abandoned Wizard hangout is nestled in the woods with a creek steps away from the backyard. Inside you’ll find cozy nooks, spell books and a fireplace to rewatch your favorite movies on the big screen. Each room includes unique magical touches that have been gathered from all over the world. This is more than just a stay, it’s an immersive experience where the magic is real and the coffee brews itself ⚡️

Brice's Place on the Farm

Relax with your family and dogs on the Farm in the Forest! Brice's Place is a completely modernized, 110-year old Farm House on a 22-acre, small working farm. Nestled within the Cherokee National Forest, Brice's Place is in the Limestone Cove Valley of Unicoi County, between Stone Mountain & Unaka Mountain. With hiking and biking trails next to the property & some of the best fly-fishing rivers in Tennessee, Brice's Place is just 20-minutes to Johnson City, 35 to Bristol & 55 to Asheville.

Spivey Falls Cabin, A Cabin by a Waterfall

A secluded cabin with access to two private, large waterfalls in the Mountains of Tennessee. Nestled on a cliff, the beautiful nature offer precipitous trails to a swimming area beneath a waterfall. The family home overlooks a 75 foot cascading waterfall. Garden trails follow along the creek and incline. Interior cabin exhibits variety of cultural nostalgia from the local family's home and tradition. We hope you come away with peace, tranquility of God's nature and restorative living water .

Chestnut Ridge Retreat

Guest love the peace and the views here at our retreat. Enjoy a morning or evening in the hot tub, sun on the pool deck and swim in warm weather. Relax by the fireplace or fire pit (roast some s’mores). Walk the property to see the chickens, horse, donkey and goats. At our farm we love diversity, support all love, and don’t think that hate makes America great - if you don’t agree we may not be the destination for you. We have added a small chair that converts to a bed- we can squeeze 3 in.

Welcome to the Lee Cabin located at Shootout Mountain. The Lee Cabin was built in 1876 and is the oldest structure on Shootout Mountain. The cabin has been fully remodeled and offers all the latest amenities for an enjoyable mountain experience. You’ll find abundant outdoor recreation, a temperate climate, a relaxed lifestyle, and friendly people. The Lee Cabin is approximately a 1-hour drive from Asheville, Boone, or Johnson City, TN.
