'Atatū' means "dawn" - our favourite time at the property, when the sun travels across the sea to outline the hills and all is peaceful. Atatū is a great base for outdoor adventures in the three National Parks nearby, wine-tasting in local vineyards, olive grove picnics, gallery visits or delicious meals in excellent local eateries. A glorious swimming pool and spa await you upon return. The chef's kitchen & BBQ ensure you can prepare sumptuous meals with delicious local ingredients.

Romantic Getaway - The Caboose

Romantic Getaway. The Caboose is a handcrafted replica of a train carriage, with a small private garden. Set on a half acre property next to our historic farmhouse, centrally located at the outskirts of Motupipi, at the eastern side of Golden Bay, only 5 minutes drive from the beach and 5 minutes from Takaka township. The outdoor shower, bath and toilet are all in the private garden that can be accessed with stairs from the side of the balcony of The Caboose. Full cell phone coverage.

Located in Tasman, between Mapua (10min drive) and Motueka (20 min). 30min drive to Kaiteriteri, gateway to the Abel Tasman National park, and the Great Taste Trail bike ride crosses the end of our drive. 10 minute walkway to the beach from the property. Lovely setting, ideal for a romantic getaway winter or summer, or for a family holiday. Kids will love our two alpaca, kune kune pig and chickens. Amazing views.
