Little Gem is the smallest freehold property in Sheringham. Best for short stays and slim guests with little luggage. Sheringham is one of the few places in Britain where you can see both the sunrise and sunset over the sea The bathroom is off the kitchen on the ground floor and the bedroom is on the first floor with ceiling open to the rafters so restricted head height in some places. The electric shower is not a power shower, please don't be disappointed. The accommodation is fresh with a seaside theme. We leave UHT milk, biscuits, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and sugar to welcome you. Soap, shampoo, Egyptian cotton bed linen, bath towels (please note no hand towels), hairdryer and iron are provided. There is a key safe which offers ease of access upon arrival. The property is only a few minutes from Sheringham beach. The thriving high street offers a wealth of independent stores, coffee shops and places to eat.

🌈 Recently featured in an article in Norfolk Magazine as one of Norfolk's top 8 Airbnb's with the following review; “If you’re fond of sand dunes and salty air you’ll love this old two-bedroomed fisherman’s cottage found just a short walk away from the shingle beach in Cley near Blakeney. The interior is whimsically decorated with lots of fun, local art on the walls. Guests talk of beautiful views across the marshland and the local deli as added perks". Also with high speed fibre optic WiFi!! ❤️
THE COTTAGE~ ⭐️Built in 1850, Mallard cottage is a two bedroom, two bathroom cottage with covered off-street parking in the heart of the village of Cley-next-the-Sea. Cley lies within the AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and the North Norfolk Heritage Coast.🌈 🌷The master bedroom has a king sized bed, an ensuite shower room and loo and a really good view over the reed beds of Cley. The twin bedroom is a good size and a lovely room which looks over a very pretty part of the village (photographed, as is the view from the master bedroom).😍 🧚‍♂️The family bathroom is very nice and light and is also a good size, benefitting from a double ended claw foot bath. 🍎Downstairs is a fully kitted out open plan kitchen, dining and living area. There are characterful pictures and paintings all over the walls and some books and games to choose from. 🍭The house has been refurbished to a good standard and has high speed Fibre Optic WiFi and a full range of Sky channels including Sky Sports. It also benefits from double glazing and a very good, new boiler and heating system so you should be warm and cosy all year round. The cottage is the winner of a 4 star Best of Britain self-catering award. PARKING~ 🚘There is off street parking at the property which has it's own covered parking space clearly marked 'Mallard' (photographed for scale with the listing of the cottage). The turning into the arch way is very steep and the space is tight for larger vehicles so whilst Range Rover's have been known to park there (normal sized cars are fine) drivers of large vehicles who aren't comfortable 'manoeuvring' into the off street space can find plenty of parking near by. Old Post Office Lane gives pedestrian access to the Fairstead where there is free off street parking with no restrictions. There is also the Village Hall where there is a free and large off street car park with no restrictions.
Cley-next-the-Sea is one of the prettiest villages on the North Norfolk coast. It is on the River Glaven 4 mi (6 km) north-west of Holt (3 miles) and east of Blakeney (2 miles). It lies within the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the North Norfolk Heritage Coast between the villages of Wiveton and Salthouse. A few suggestions of things to do in and around Cley... The Wiveton Café is a must and is now open in winter as well having previously been solely open in spring and summer. It’s about a 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive from the cottage. Do check out their website. Artemis Cafe in Cley is always a good place from which to start a walk. turn right and right out of the cottage, it's about a 20 second walk away. They serve delicious coffee, cake, sausage rolls and salmon bagels directly behind Mallard Cottage and the famous coastal walk along the wall starts from their garden. The George in Cley does really good food, has really friendly staff and is about a two minute walk from the cottage. Picnic Fayre in Cley, less than a minute's walk from Mallard, is a fantastic deli with masses of locally sourced treats and depending on the season they serve really good homemade ice cream from a little hatch in the wall. Blakeney is about an 8 minute drive away or a beautiful hour and a bit long walk along the river wall. I never feel as if I've really had my 'Cley time' until I've done that walk. You don't need to go all the way if you're not big walkers but the look of the landscape and sky change almost hourly and and we never get bored of it. Cley beach is accessible by car (2 mins) or on foot (8-10 mins) if you turn left out of the cottage and through the village, past the windmill and you'll see signs for where to follow the path to Cley beach (also photographed with the images of the cottage). The Blakeney Hotel is probably the most 'get dressed up' place locally, although I have to admit we've never been as we never bring anything approaching the right wardrobe with us... It does look lovely and it has a good reputation and apparently stunning views. The White Horse also has a good reputation and is popular, with good food. I actually prefer the Anchor at Morston next to Blakeney. Blakeney is lovely and definitely worth a visit but it can be seriously packed with day-trippers in high season so at the risk of sounding like a snob, it's better to be a bit outside it and Cley is a much nicer place to stay... Morston and Blakeney also offer Seal trips which are really fun to do depending on the season so it's worth looking on local websites. 'Beans' seal trips is one of the companies. The Cley Smokehouse directly opposite the cottage serves amazing sea food. People travel from miles around to stock up on their crab and their fish soup so we are very lucky (it's pictured in the view from the twin room in the pics of the cottage). There are galleries and a lovely pottery and book shop in Cley, plenty of shops and galleries in Blakeney and some of the best birdwatching in Britain at Cley Spy and in Salthouse which is the next village in the other direction from Wiveton and Blakeney (turn left for Salthouse, in the same direction as you walk for the beach). There's also a great pub in Salthouse called the Dunn Cow with fantastic views across the marshes from the large garden and good food. For Bird Watchers the cutting-edge, sustainable visitor centre at Norfolk Wildlife Trust's Cley Marshes Nature Reserve is a must. It has it's own café and some of the best bird watching in the country. The Coast hopper bus has bus stops in both directions from outside Picnic Fayre (about a one minute walk from the Cottage). It runs a good and regular service although personally I prefer to walk as much as possible and everything I have mentioned is walking distance, obviously depending on what you consider walking distance to be/if you have toddlers etc. The marshes around Cley are internationally important for their populations of rare breeding and visiting birds. Cley Marshes bird reserve has been in the care of the Norfolk Wildlife Trust since 1926, making it the oldest county Wildlife Trust reserve in Britain. Among resident breeding birds are Avocet, Bearded Tit, Bittern, Marsh Harrier and Spoonbill. Winter visitors include Brent Geese, Wigeon, Pintail and many species of wading birds. Cley, like neighbouring Salthouse is ideally situated at the apex of the North Norfolk coast as a staging ground for passage migrants, vagrants and rareties of all kinds. An eco-friendly visitor centre opened in 2007 containing a café, shop, viewing areas (including viewing from a camera on the reserve), exhibition area, interpretation and toilets. The view from the visitor centre across the Marsh to the sea is breathtaking. Cley Marshes is the home of the Bird Information Service, publishers of Birding World. The shingle bank holds large numbers of Yellow Horned Poppy. The Grade I listed medieval church of St Margaret's, Cley is the largest church in the Blakeney area dating from (phone number hidden) Cley was once one of the busiest ports in England, where grain, malt, fish, spices, coal, cloth, barley and oats were exported or imported. The many Flemish gables in the town are a reminder of trade with the Low Countries. Some of the buildings that once lined the quay remain, notably the 18th-century Cley Windmill which was used as a backdrop of the 1949 film Conspirator with Elizabeth Taylor. Cley Mill has often been depicted by local artists and was the subject of a painting by the 20th century English landscape artist, Rowland Hilder. In the late 19th century Cley became a holiday resort. The poet Rupert Brooke was staying in Cley when news came that Britain had entered what was to become the First World War. Brooke had dreamt about the war and woke to find it a reality. He did not speak to his hosts all day until his host said, "But Rupert, you won't have to fight?" to which Brooke replied, "We shall all have to fight". We hope you will go ahead and book! I’m sure you’ll love Cley as we do! Melissa (✿◠‿◠)

Fo’c'sle is a delightful detached timber clad retreat, located in the heart of the North Norfolk countryside just a short drive to the coast and one of North Norfolk's best restaurants, the Wiveton Bell, making it ideal for couples to both relax and explore this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Fo’c’sle, (pronounced Folksall), is an old fashioned word for forward castle, the part of a ship with the sailors' living quarters. Set in the heart of the glaven valley, you don’t have to worry about the sea conditions to enjoy this peaceful hideaway!. Attractively furnished with many of the finishing touches coming from the local potttery/gallery “Made in Cley”, the open-plan ground floor offers a well-equipped compact kitchen, a bright kitchen/dining area with double doors opening into the private courtyard and a cosy sitting room with wood burning stove. On the first floor you are greeted with a large bedroom with picture window providing lovely views over the church and valley and a comfy king-size bed and en-suite shower room. The cottage is looked after by the owners who live next door, who can give great tips on what to do and where to go in the local area. Nestled between the coastal villages of Blakeney and Cley-next-the-Sea, Wiveton is an ideal location to enjoy the beauty of the glaven valley with its wildlife, birdlife and walking opportunities, whilst being located just one mile south of the coast road. There is an excellent bus service operating along the A149 coast road, the 'Coasthopper' which is great for walkers in that the bus route shadows the Norfolk coast path. This enables one way walks to be undertaken with relative ease and is a great way of visiting the coastal villages without the need to use your car. The Wiveton Downs is a registered "Dark Skies" site where it is possible to see the northern lights, or aurora borealis, and this area of the UK boasts some of the darkest skies in the country being that it is unaffected by light pollution and so making it ideal for star gazing. Additional Information Two well behaved dogs are welcome (small additional charge). Unfortunately this property is not suitable for infants or children. The bed has synthetic bedding. Logs are provided for the wood burning stove. Ground Floor: Sitting room Ample comfortable seating, wood burning stove, flat screen television with Freeview and a DVD player. Kitchen A well equipped kitchen with slimline dishwasher, microwave, electric oven and hob with cooker hood over, under counter fridge with a freezer ice box. Dining room Dining table with seating for two guests and double french doors leading into the courtyard garden. Cloakroom Wash basin and WC. First Floor: Master bedroom A lovely bright room with king-size bed and a large picture window with views over the glaven valley and neighbouring property. En-suite shower room Walk-in shower, wash basin and WC. Outside: There is a west facing courtyard with terrace and lawn area, with ample garden furniture. Please note the the courtyard is not secure for dogs. Off-road parking for one car is available to the side of the cottage.

A fabulous luxury, single storey barn conversion set in the heart of this peaceful coastal village, where you will find a great pub, a super, very well-equipped village shop/cafe, and the wonderful North Norfolk coast all within easy walking distance. What more could you want?! With parts of the building dating back to the Victorian era, this traditional brick and flint barn has been converted to very high modern standards, without losing any of its character as beams and feature flint walls have been retained. The overall impression on entering the barn is one of comfort and relaxed easy living. There is a lovely light open plan vaulted living area, with skylights and full height bi-fold doors and windows that overlook the south facing garden, running the full length of the room. The sitting area has a wood burning stove to light for extra warmth and ambience, although with underfloor heating in this area and great insulation, you should already be nice and cosy. Summer Barn will suit families too, especially with older children. Weybourne is a great little spot as a base for getting out and about exploring this part of North Norfolk, either on foot (the are some fabulous walks to explore from outside the door, both inland and coastal), by catching the Coasthopper bus service that runs through the village or by car. The Georgian town of Holt is just three miles up the road, where you will find boutiques, galleries and a variety of places to eat. Sheringham, the next coastal resort along the coast, is a bustling traditional seaside town where fisherman still bring in their daily catch. You will find plenty of facilities, including many interesting shops, a museum, pubs, restaurants and tea rooms, as well as a supermarket and filling station. If you fancy a day trip to Norwich, you can catch a train from Sheringham town centre. Additional Information: Sorry, pets not allowed. Feather duvets, hypoallergenic pillows. The cart shed is a beautiful barn conversion in the village of Weybourne on the North Norfolk Coast. With a wood burner and underfloor heating its perfect for a winter break for 2. Its rustic, cosy and romantic. And you might like to bring your dog!
The Cart Shed is a beautiful brick and flint barn conversion. It really was the cart shed at one time, and has one of the old cart wheels found there at the time of renovation up on the wall, as well as the original windows. It is wonderfully spacious, full of character, comfortable, and warm. It has a large open plan kitchen/dining/living area with vaulted ceilings, original beams and exposed brick and flint walls. There is a wood burning stove in the main living area [with a useful sheila maid drying rack over], and underfloor heating under the whole ground floor - making it really cosy for the winter months. There is also a large bathroom downstairs, with roll top bath, shower over, heated towel rail, toilet, bidet, and sink. Upstairs there is a bedroom in the eaves with a comfortable king-size bed and a landing where you could put a cot or small bed for a child. Free Wifi included. The car port can be used as an outside living space like a verandah - which is especially nice in the morning when the sun comes streaming in. Beyond that there is a communal gravelled area shared by the other barns in the development. There is a small gate adjacent to the property that leads straight out onto Holt Road - and in one direction you are quickly into countryside with marked footpaths, and in the other it is a short stroll into the centre of the village and on down to the sea. The barn is perfect for a couple and one well- behaved dog is welcome. There are 2 carports for use by visitors at the barn - one can be used for your car, and the other can be used for outside spacewith table and chairs.
The Cart Shed is in a prime location in the village of Weybourne on the North Norfolk (URL HIDDEN) is set in a development of barns close to the centre of the village. The local shop (which also sells coffees, cakes and croissants), and the local pub -The Ship - for good food or a drink, are just a couple of hundred yards away. And the sea is just a few minutes walk away down Beach lane beyond the village shop. Weybourne is an ideal base for exploring the many attractions that North Norfolk has to offer, The Georgian town of Holt is just 3 miles away, with its numerous boutiques, antique shops, cafes and restaurants. The popular coastal town of Sheringham is just 3 miles in the other direction, and if you don't want to drive, it is a pleasant walk there from Weybourne along the cliffs. Cley-Next-Sea is nearby with its pottery, deli, windmill, arts and crafts galleries and the Cley Marshes Nature reserve - a world renowned bird-watching site. In Blakeney you can go out on a boat to see the seals on Blakeney point. Then there is Wells-next-Sea - a beautiful and historic harbour and seaside resort with its fabulous beach. Practically on your doorstep you have the beautiful Sheringham Park, and Kelling Heath for miles and miles of walks. There is a leisure centre with pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gym just a couple of minutes drive away from the barn, in Kelling Heath Holiday Park, set in 250 acres of woodland and rare open heath. There are numerous country parks, stately homes and gardens within easy reach for day's out, including Holkham with its beautiful beach, and Blickling Hall near Aylsham. Then there's the Poppy Line - a heritage steam railway that runs between Holt and Sheringham and stops in Weybourne. And there's the coast hopper bus if you dont want to take the car- a hop on, hop off bus service that goes round the North Norfolk coast r [and I believe you can take your dog too!) Thats the great thing about Norfolk - there's lots of things to do, places to visit, excellent eateries and pubs - all without having to go too far once you get there!

Our home is at the end of a cul-de-sac with ample parking. We welcome our guests with the use of their own bedroom with nice views and private bathroom. We also provide a continental breakfast. It is a 10 minute walk into town and an 8 minute walk to the nearest coastal path or beach. There are numerous walking opportunities. Other north Norfolk sights are easily accessed from Sheringham by car, bus or train. The town offers pubs, restaurants and many cafes. In addition I speak fluent German.
Alongside the bedroom we will offer a private shower room, which can be accessed from across a small landing, where a curtain can be drawn for extra privacy. In order to get our visitors off to a good start each day, there will be home baked bread, cereals and fresh fruit. In the bedroom there is a kettle, a choice of teas and coffee and a cafetière. You are welcome to use the dining room/conservatory and the garden.
There are plenty of good walks around, most of which can incorporate a cafe or pub visit. The beach is close by and at low tide you will be able to reach various places. The promenade makes for a lovely stroll along various cafes and from which you can see stunning sunsets. There will be a welcome pack containing information about local establishments.

Liz's Lodge is a fabulously luxurious Scandinavian A-frame dwelling, set in a small copse within the secluded 'woodland village' of Weybourne Forest. Furnished in an elegant, contemporary style with great attention to detail, and clever use of space, the owner has created a very relaxed and comfortable environment, in keeping with its lovely, tranquil setting. The lodge has three bedrooms, one of which is downstairs, and two bathrooms. The stunning open-plan and light-filled living space has one totally glazed wall to take full advantage of the woodland scene outside. This is a superb place to socialise, as well as relax and take in the view - slide open the door and you can bring the outside in. On warm days you have a choice of two decked, glazed balconies, where you can enjoy some alfresco dining or just lie back, look at that great big Norfolk sky and listen to the birds! A little way down the hill is Weybourne Station, where you can take a ride back in time and catch the Poppyline steam train to either Holt or Sheringham. It's about a twenty minute walk down to the main village where there is a well-stocked village store, and a good pub serving food. The Coasthopper bus passes through on a regular basis all year round, and stops at all the coastal villages from Kings Lynn to Cromer. Liz's Lodge really is the perfect place to stay if you like to keep fit; there are some pretty woodland trails to explore from right outside the door, the National Trust's Sheringham Park and Kelling Heath are close by, and the North Norfolk coastal path is a short drive (or two mile walk) away. An ideal place to stay for a little seaside 'getaway' in Sheringham. Come any time of the year to enjoy this part of the English coast. Special annual events include the Viking festival, the summer Carnival in August or 1940's weekend in September, or just come because you would like a break in a small quaint seaside town. Response within 24 hours.
This is a very spacious comfortable bright room. It faces south, so gets plenty of sunlight. The room is equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, a TV, chairs, a desk, a sink, a cupboard and chest of drawers for your convenience. The bathroom, usually just used by you, is a little way along the corridor. We offer a Continental breakfast (cereals, breads, croissants, jams, yoghurt, fruit, tea, coffee ) in our dining room for you to help yourself to, if you would like it.
Some say 'Norfolk is flat', but not so around around Sheringham. Walk along the edge of the golf course, or up Beeston Bump, to gain expansive views over the sea and countryside around. The town maintains a certain charm, equipped with several independent retailers, good coffee shops and a bustling Saturday market, especially in the summer. There is a vibrant theater, and a museum, giving the visitor a good insight into the heritage of the town and area, and a busy steam railway. There are 3 National Trust properties within easy reach of the town, Sheringham Park, Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall. Cromer, with its Amazona zoo and pier, is a short distance along the coast.

Gorąco polecam to Airb & b!

Niesamowity pobyt i gorąco polecam.

  • Ruth i Andy byli niesamowitymi gospodarzami. Zdecydowanie ukryty klejnot w Sheringham.
