You’ll love my place for its atmosphere, uniqueness and secluded, idilic location with stunning views over Devon countryside. It has an air of creativity and love, with a cosy natural feel. Views overlook forrest, valley, stream. With hot tub (add £80) it’s the perfect place to unwind. Dartmoor is a glorious play ground with wild ponies, bouldering for climbers, rivers and beaches nearby for swimming. Plenty Neolithic stone circles around. Ashburton is a town, famous for antiques and fine foods.
The hut is off grid, so you will have a taste of what living simply and close to nature is like, but still enjoy having the luxury and comfort of my hut. Hopefully you'll be inspired and go away with an experience of living off-grid, and a greater appreciation for nature, and what we take often for granted in this modern and busy world.   The woodwork is beautiful and the whole dwelling is uniquely crafted using only natural paints and materials so as to minimise anything harmful to both the environment and the people living in it. Similarly the washing and cleaning is done with non toxic environmentally friendly products. THE HOT TUB CAN BE ADDED TO YOUR STAY FOR AN ADDITIONAL £80 The waster is not mains water but is the farms own naturally sourced it is drunk by the family on the farm however is is not possible to test water constantly so for this reason I say that it’s your decision weather you want to drink it or not. Family’s wanting to stay with kids. Patients will need to take responsibility for there children. There are animals on the farm and arias with machinery or unusual terrine. Dogs should be kept on leads and any mess safely disposed of. But guists will have the benefit of having the entire feild to themselves with little if any interruption. There are snacks and general food in the cupboard that your welcome to help yourself to. Along with fresh herbs from bay tree or herb pots. If you want any fresh local produce, I can put you in contact with the farmer.
The natural rolling hills of Devon are relaxing to the eye and it is utterly peaceful here, but also providing a perfect play ground for families and couples wanting to explore the great outdoors. The hut has feild to itself to ensure the privacy and wellbeing of it's occupants. The feild belongs to a traditional working farm, so sheep horses and cows might well be seen and herd... The farm is owned by a friendly farmer called Chris and visits to the farm yard with all its animals may be possible on request.
  • Niesamowite miejsce na ucieczkę! Wspaniałe widoki, dużo prywatności i bardzo przytulnie. Niezwykle spokojny.

The Bolthole - Compact & cosy detached studio with garden. Located in the heart of Kingswear just 100 metres from the River Dart, the river can be seen from the garden terrace. No hills to climb, just 5 mins walk to the passenger & car ferries for the short trip over to Dartmouth & 2 mins walk to the village shop, a lovely cafe & the Steam Packet pub. Perfect for the coastal path. Street parking is free, 5 mins walk from the property & paid parking is in the marina opposite the property.
The Bolthole is a detached 1 bed studio property nestled in the valley in the heart of Kingswear just above the River Dart and Waterhead Creek. The 2 pubs, cafe and shop are all just a couple of minutes walk away. Newly developed using carefully selected reclaimed materials mixed with all the modern comforts to complement. Located on the slope above our main house there is a lovely little garden with its own deck where the River Dart, the hills in the distance and Waterhead Creek can be seen. You can retreat from the hustle and bustle of Dartmouth in the private garden and enjoy the evening sun. The idea and inspiration was to create a hidden space to escape to and the perfect base to explore South Devon & Cornwall. The property is a very cosy and compact studio. It's one room living with ensuite bathroom and has a coastal feel by way of white washed T&G timber and a hardwood waxed wooden floor reclaimed from marina boards having been weathered for 20 years. The King-size bed has a memory foam mattress and white Egyptian cotton bed linen, we also provide white bath and hand towels. We also provide tea, coffee, sugar, milk, salt, pepper, handwash, toilet roll and washing up liquid. There is an area to cook in a well equipped kitchenette and a vintage dining table & chairs. Natural light floods in and the garden has the afternoon and evening sun accessed via double doors that open to the oak steps up to the deck.
A lovely location and the river is 100m away and a short walk to the coastal path. A great local shop, lovely cafe, superb pub, passenger ferry, car ferries, castles, steam trains, steam river boats, walks, vineyards and much more. Not forgetting friendly people!
I mnóstwo małych świateł. Bardzo dobrze przemyślane. Polecamy, jeśli chcesz spać w Kingswear. Zejście do parkingu Marina nad rzeką trwa około 5 minut, a parking kosztuje nas 32 funty za 4 dni.

Very picturesque area of south Devon, overlooking the river Dart. Fantastic sitting out on the terrace in warmer weather sipping on a glass of wine - ah the life! Kingswear has it all and an amazing pub which makes the best pizza in Devon. Not for the faint hearted however, it's rather hilly, but great exercise! Short walk to bus into Paignton and Brixham and beyond. Overlooking Dartmouth which is full of quirky little shops and cafes, and hosts an annual regatta in August.
My spare room is just off the kitchen at the opposite end of the flat from the rest of the rooms so quite private. Direct access onto the terrace. The bed is a very comfortable day bed (ask my cats!) and I use the room as a home office (when not hosting). This is a vegan household so please respect that. I dont mind dairy products being brought in, stored in the fridge, etc but cooking meat is an absolute no no! I have two cats who rule the house so if you're not a cat lover this is probably not the place for you. Used to having couchsurfers so thought I'd give this a go. Please don't expect a palace - the room is priced cheaply as I'd rather no one expected hotel standards! Oh and bathroom is shared hence why I'd prefer single travellers only.
Check out the Steampacket, Coleton Fishacre, and Greenway. Then there's always Dartmouth and Kingswear castles, take a boat trip up to Totnes, down the coast to Blackpool beach or round to Torquay. So many options. Just ask if there's anything you want to know about the area.
