About 1 mile to the town of Poultney, which has stores, shops, restaurants and a Pub. The sidewalk starts in front of the cottage which leads directly to town. Great for a walk, jog or bike ride. Pico, Killington and Bromley Mountains all less than an hour drive. 3 miles away from Lake St Catherine and under 10 miles to Lake Bomoseen.

The historic “Smithy" at Consider Bardwell Farm is the original building used for blacksmithing by Consider Bardwell, himself, in the 1800s. Complete with brand-new, architect-designed kitchen and bathroom, wood-burning fireplace, and stone patio for outdoor grilling and dining, the Smithy is beautiful inside and out. This charming house is close to the quaint Village of Woodstock, skiing, restaurants and dining, and family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the ambiance, the quality furnishings, air conditioning, the outdoors space, the quiet neighborhood, the comfy beds, and the light. My place is good for couples, business travelers, families (with kids). Sorry, we can no longer welcome pets.
