You’ll love Great Salkeld with its excellent village pub, ancient church and its many countryside walks. The village is set in the tranquil Eden Valley, close to the river Eden. Just 10 miles from the Lake District National Park, it makes an ideal base from which to explore this stunning region.

The spacious loft is the perfect place to relax after a day's sightseeing or travelling. The private entrance means the space is completely your own to relax and enjoy a bit of TV or film, or find out more about the area and it's history The main room has a comfortable king size bed, TV and seating area. Swinburne Castle

Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. A delicious continental breakfast will be provided in your rooms. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use. lovely footpaths from the house for keen walkers.

Spend a night in Hardraw, in the Yorkshire Dales. This wonderfully crafted shepherds hut is located on a working farm, with sheep, cattle, hens and pigs. Also, home to the local working sheepdog demonstration team. Located in a small village on the Pennine Way; the renowned Hardraw force, England's highest waterfall is a 5 minute stroll.
