This historical house has stunning vaulted sandstone ceilings and rooms decorated in Scandic-Italian style. A spacious bedroom, en-suite bathroom and a small lounge area with private entrance from the street. A fantastic location but not for the faint hearted, lots of steps, but it's worth it. All'interno di un hotel diffuso nei Sassi di Matera, in questa camera in grotta si accede dal terrazzo comune attraverso un’ampia porta finestra. E’ un alcova interamente scavata nel tufo. Estremamente accogliente anche solo per la conformazione, cava e tondeggiante si presenta quasi come un utero materno. Il bagno, se pur piccolo è completo di bidet e doccia. E’ dotata di aria condizionata, tv, mini-bar e wifi gratuito. Nel costo della grotta è inclusa una ricca e speciale colazione a buffet.

Le grotte hanno un loro particolare microclima che viene regolato da impianto di riscaldamento in inverno e deumidificazione quando necessario. Nello spazio esterno, arredato con tavolino e sedie, è possibile incontrare e fare amicizia con la mia gattina e con il mio cane, un dolcissimo Border Collie . Soggiornare in una grotta è un esperienza.
