There are three Marta stations within 2 miles of the house; one is 1.2 miles. UBER is extremely convenient and always available within a few minutes, so I don't ever bother with taxis. Uber is also about half the price to the airport as taxis. There is also a bike rental shop 1 block away on the Beltline, where you can walk or bike to Piedmont Park, Midtown and Inman Park. Definitely check out the "Beltline"; it's a hugely popular paved biking and walking trail just 1 block from the house that takes you through great neighborhoods and ends at Atlanta's largest park (Piedmont Park). Locals go there to see and be seen, bar hop, and exercise.
