Underground Hobbit Home in the deep forest

Our custom-built Hobbit Home is nestled under the forest floor on a 10 acre site. A bench swing adorns the hillside along the huge boulder fire pit and outdoor picnic area. The inside of the 185 sq.ft. structure is one-of-a-kind, with a Poplar tree bark ceiling, wavy cedar walls, and a wood cookie wall. A queen sized bed with linens and pillows comfortably sleeps two, and a comfy pull out couch can sleep two children under 12 or one teen or adult. A wood stove makes it cozy in the cold months.

We are conveniently located within close proximity to Michigan’s Adventure, Canoe and Kayak (tubes too!) Nestled in a cove on the largest lake in Kent county, this renovated lakefront cottage sits at the water's edge of Lake Wabasis with 66' of private shoreline. It includes: 18' pontoon, 2 kayaks, paddle boat & dock (May through October, weather permitting). There is also a front deck; side patio; bonfire pit and gas BBQ grill. Swan Cottage has 2 large bedrooms (plus a twin daybed in a semi-private nook); 1 bathroom; and driveway parking. It is dog friendly, however, the yard is not fenced.

This sweet little cabin on the river is a remodeled/updated log cabin from the 1940’s. Simple and slightly rustic, with everything you need for a comfortable stay! We think it has the best view on the whole river. There is shallow water and a sand bar mid-river in front of the house. The swans, geese, ospreys and Bald Eagles are a treat to watch. The cabin is a relaxing and intimate getaway for couples. It is cozy in the winter with a small hot tub overlooking a beautiful view.

Our cottage is footsteps from the lake, beach and dock. Only minutes to Duck Lake State Park and Lake Michigan beaches. Perfect for a great getaway to relax and enjoy the peaceful setting. It’s not just a summer place, come enjoy the fall colors with incredible views of Duck Lake State Park. The cottage is equipped with kayaks,canoes ,peddle boats and a stand-up paddleboard. This is a no smoking and no pets allowed property.
