Footbridge Farm Cabin

Footbridge Farm is a quiet country get-away located on 90 wooded acres, 15 miles NE of Decorah. We are close to the mouth of Canoe Creek, the Upper Iowa River and adjacent to state DNR land. The cozy owner-built cabin has an open ceiling with exposed beams and rafters giving a sense of spaciousness. Local stone was used in the exterior walls and the floor-to-ceiling fire back behind the wood-burning stove. The floors are oak and slate. Detailed craftsmanship can be found throughout the cabin.

After a fun day in The Driftless Area, come relax and unwind in Prairie du Chien. Beautifully decorated 2 bedroom home with a spacious kitchen, large island, dishwasher, washer/dryer & 5' walk in shower. We supply all cooking/baking items/utensils. High-speed internet with smart TVs in both bedrooms and living room. Outdoor pool (seasonal), hot tub and massage chair. We love dogs too, so we provide a dog run (there is a pet fee). For our fishermen- there is off street parking for your boats.

When you arrive at our 16 acre farmstead and enter the Guest Barn, you'll notice the construction materials which were salvaged from a nearby barn and corncrib. The timbers from these buildings were torn down, moved to our farm and rebuilt into a smaller “new” barn. It truly represents a real farm experience you can feel. While here, you'll slow down and enjoy the tranquility. Walk around the farm, make friends with a cow, watch barn kitties play, while gazing across the vast farm vistas.

American House 1854- Steamboat Landing Suite

The whole group will be comfortable in this spacious and unique boutique hotel. The American House, built in 1854 is the oldest standing building in the city of McGregor! Dr. Lucy Hobbs the first woman to graduate a dental college in the world had her dental office in this building from 1862-1865! You can come and enjoy the surrounding areas if you want, but you can also just come and spend the entire time away from the outside world. It is a quiet, peaceful, relaxing place to just unwind. Located up on a bluff, between Prairie Du Chien and Ferryville, this cabin gets you about 5 minutes from the river but allows you the serenity of being tucked away in the trees.

Be one with the sky as you lay back and gaze at the stars on a plush king bed in the loft. The large loft skylight is amazing at night and during the day. At night gaze at the stars and moon and during the day bask in the sun or look at the fields of wildflowers.
