The property was an 18th Century barn which the owners converted to an extremely spacious holiday cottage, with the best of traditional and modern features. It is ideally situated for fell walking, running, mountain biking, stand up paddle boarding and other mountain and lake activities. It is situated 2.5 miles from Pooley bridge and is a 5 minute walk from the quaint village of Tirril, which has its own Country Pub. The enclosed gardens have been recently landscaped and provide plenty of space.

Sleeping a max of 5 adults plus 1 child, all you need is provided. We take extra care for you to enjoy a relaxing home from home, so we clean the barn ourselves at no extra charge. Living next door we’re also on hand with helpful local knowledge and to answer any questions.

Fern Cottage is a large, light, 3 bedroomed holiday cottage sleeping up to 5 people. In decorating the cottage we have retained all the lovely oak beams and given it a modern twist. A perfect holiday base for touring the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales.
