High Park - perfectly peaceful, magnificent views

'Probably the best Airbnb we have stayed at.' Canadian guests, Sep, 2024. Our Lakeland Farmhouse, High Park in the English Lake District, is in the centre of a World Heritage Site. It was built in 1620, once owned by Beatrix Potter, surrounded by hills and trees, and with astounding views. At night, the silence is total. We offer a king-size double bed, satellite TV and WIFI, your own bathroom too with great water pressure and piping hot water. Plus your own downstairs sitting/dining room .

Set on the Dales Way, in the heart of the Lake District National Park lies Cragg House Farm. This working family farm now doubles up as a luxurious 2 room B&B. Run by Liz, alongside my husband Edward who manages the farm. Cragg House over looks acres of land occupied by livestock and panoramic views of the fells. The tranquil farm is only two miles outside of Bowness-on-Windermere. There are great local pubs and eateries and walks. There is even a golf course less than half a mile away.

Penthouse Self-catering Apartment

A luxury self-catering studio apartment with exposed slate walls, on our top (second) floor, Penthouse is suitable for a couple, two adults with a child, or a group of three. It has a solid oak, king-sized bed and a solid oak, single sofa bed, mini-kitchen and living area. The kitchenette has a small hob, fridge, and microwave. The bathroom has a roll-top bath and separate shower. Penthouse also enjoys access to a private roof terrace with stunning panoramic views. Too beautiful to miss!

Ingleborough Micro Lodge

Beautiful barn conversion which is ideally situated for walkers and 3 Peaks Challenge adventurers! It offers 3 bedrooms in the main house and is within walking distance of the local pubs, café and train station and has its own private car park for guests. From April 2019 2 (dog friendly) micro lodges/pods will be added and are located in the walled garden area next to the main house, both with private terrace and bbq. Pods are en-suite and equipped with TV, fridge, microwave and sofa.

The Bridal Suite - Ashlack Hall

Ashlack Hall lies at the head of a valley, which runs westward to the Duddon Estuary in SW Cumbria. A grade 2 listed Manor House, built in the 17th century, with plenty of eccentricity and old world charm. We are both experienced chefs and love to share the joy of our home grown & reared produce with our guests. We offer breakfast every morning at an additional £15/person and our 6 course small plates menu on Friday & Saturday evenings for £65/person.

Victorian house built in 1892 with some original features and high ceilings. Your bedroom is large with a private bathroom just outside your door (not en-suite). The area is quiet and parking is guaranteed. The small garden is a pleasant space with a running water pond, on sunny mornings our guests really appreciate having breakfast there. The house is situated on a quiet cul de sac in Kendal, a 10/15 min walk from the mainline train station, Oxenholme Station, and a 20-25 minute walk into town. The bedroom is on the ground floor with an ensuite private shower room. We are close to the hospital, ideal if need somewhere to stay if you are working there for a week or two. Breakfast is provided for you in the utility room, you are welcome to use our dining room.
