The beautiful Glen of Aherlow is nearby with great walks, cycle trails and horse riding. Welcome to Owenie's Cottage set in the beautiful village of Glanworth in Co Cork. Glanworth is located 5 miles from the town of Fermoy, 7 miles from Mitchelstown and 25 miles from Cork City. The village is locally know as 'The Harbour', this stems from the 9th Century invasion of the Vikings who sailed as far as the Monastery in Glanworth. Owenie's Cottage is surrounded by medieval buildings and Old Mills . It is across the road from a castle with walks to the beautiful River Funcheon.

This modern apartment is part of a bigger house. On the property, we have our own indoor heated swimming pool which guests have access to. The apartment has a separate entrance and is fully contained. It has two bedrooms, one with a King Size Bed (sleeps two) the second room has a Triple Bunk and can sleep up to three. It has a Kitchen living area which is fully equipped. The apartment has one modern bathroom complete with a power shower. Broadband is available in the apartment

The Studio in the Sky

From artist studio to guest house, this little building is an ongoing project, with so much to offer. Sitting on higher grounds just behind the main house, it has its own garden with a view to take your breath away. It’s a bit of a rise to get there but totally worth it. If you keep climbing across small fields and a strip of forest, you’ll find yourself on Slievenamon’s mountain trails. Downhill from here lies Kilcash village, pub, church, more forestry and the ruins of an old castle
