A quiet place to stay with stunning mountain views

A lovely place to stay in Kaikōura with mountain views, all day sun and a private deck. Not even a 5 minute drive to town center. It is the 3rd house down a private lane, parking right by the house. Large open plan living area and good sized bedrooms. West boundary is a peaceful creek (be aware of this if you have children). A great heat pump and additional big log burner will keep you warm during the winter months with a heat distribution system to keep you warm in the bedrooms. No WiFi sorry!

Coco's Cabin

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Coco's Cabin is a small home on the Kaikoura Peninsula with amazing sea views. Watch the moon rise over the water from the comfort of the couch. And get ready for truly spectacular sunrises. If you're lucky you might even spot a humpback whale/ dolphins. A swimming beach is a short walk away, and you can drive to the town centre in 5 minutes. There is a small bedroom with a double bed/ensuite and a loft with an Ecosa sofa bed. There's no tv.

You’ll find the Dolphin and Whale Watch Encounters and the local Seal Colony all only a few minutes drive away. The start of the Kaikōura Peninsula Walk is also only a few minutes stroll.

Hapuku Retreat

Come and enjoy a rare chance for silence and stillness. This family retreat is a source of great relaxation for our family and we encourage folk to come and embrace the lack of wifi or television. There are books, day walks, a nearby cycle track and the stunning surrounds of the Kaikoura mountains. A 10 minute drive to Kaikoura. An outdoor bath provides views of the night sky and mountains. Inside the mountains and rolling hills are visible through every windows. Each one is a picture.

Shore Break

Centrally located on the beautiful Kaikoura Esplanade with the beach and stunning mountain views at the end of the driveway. Just a short walk in either direction along the new beach path takes you either to the Pier Hotel, or past Hiku Restaurant and Encounter Kaikoura Cafe if walking towards the town centre which is approx 15 minutes away. Easy walk to the playground. The Cottage is small but cosy with everything you need, recently renovated, a secluded place to relax and enjoy Kaikoura.

Black Mountain Rukuruku

Black Mountain is nestled in the foothills of the Kaikōura Seaward Ranges, 6 km north of Kaikōura township. Designed for short and longer stays, the home is private, peaceful, and set in a beautiful rural landscape. The bedroom, living and dining spaces, bathroom, and deck enjoy mountain and garden views, with glimpses of the ocean from the grounds. On arrival, you’ll find a small selection of freshly prepared provisions — enough for a simple breakfast or two, with our compliments.

Beach Front | Games Room | Central Location

This home offers stunning Mountain and Beach views. Dolphins and seals often cruise past along the coast. The occasional whale can also be spotted for those with an eagle eye. Nestled right next to the beach with private access and still very central to Kaikōura. Please keep in mind this home is a classic kiwi bach that comes with some character and usual wear and tear with Bach style accomodation. There is still plenty of good times to be had in this home with family and friends!

Conway River View Cottage For 2

NO hidden cleaning costs or pet fees. 31km south of Kaikoura and 26km north of Cheviot is this cosy building that was once a classroom. Nestled alongside the Conway River, just off SH1 is where you'll find Conway River View Cottage. Surrounded by hills covered in bush, pine and native fruit trees. The nearest shop is a 20min drive (Cheviot) If there's anything you need, don't hesitate to ask. My aim is to make this a most enjoyable and relaxing break for you :)
