Centrally-located Tabakea is 3 min drive or 15-20 min walk to the beach, and about the same to the Wharf precinct in town. And the supermarket is only 5 min walk. Goolwa has lots to explore: beaches, the river including the unique Coorong as well as the historic township. In the region you can visit wineries, national parks & much more.

Strout Farm Cottage Est. 1842.

Strout Farm Cottage still belongs to the Strouts who have lived here for more than 180yrs. Starting with Richard Strout, there have been 7 generations of Strouts live in this cottage. Most of the furniture, photos and ornaments come with a story of where they fit in the Strout timeline. Additionally, there are more than 20 cellar doors within a 1.5km, including Leconfield, Wirra Wirra and Down The Rabbit Hole, this is the perfect location to explore the McLaren Vale wine region..

Maunder Cottage Aldinga Township

We recognize the Kaurna people whose land holds our little cottage. Situated in Aldinga Township Maunder Cottage is a beautiful stone cottage that is self contained. It has one bedroom with Queen size bed. It has a fully renovated bathroom with a deep bath suitable for two people. The walls in the lounge room are made from limestone dug from the property. The building itself used to be the vets. We live in the house adjacent to the cottage. Our home was built in 1842.

Kangaroo Corner - cottage with reservoir views

Kangaroo Corner is a cosy 3 bedroom cottage with panoramic views of the beautiful Myponga Reservoir. This peaceful retreat is a nature lovers delight, surrounded by native grasses and bushland, with a thriving community of resident kangaroos who graze, play and snooze just 20-50m from the back fence. The cottage has 3 spacious bedrooms with beds for up to 8 people. The new kitchen is well equipped for cooking with gorgeous area for dining both inside and out.

Perfect for couples that appreciate the magic of nature, with frogs croaking at your doorstep and an abundance of bird life to enjoy. Just a short 5 min drive to the Esplanade of Victor Harbor where you can hop on the historic Cockle Train to Goolwa or ride on the horse drawn tram to breathtaking Granite Island.

The house oozes character but doesn’t compromise on comfort, as it comes with modern amenities. Summer nights offer an amazing space to BBQ , in winter relax around the fire pit or have a cosy night in front of the log burner.
