Our property is also a working flower farm, home to a wide variety of Heliconias and Gingers. The lodge is completely self‑sustaining. Fresh spring water flows though the property a gravity‑fed system, our on‑site waterfall generates clean hydroelectric power. An ideal base for nature lovers to explore the Atherton Tableland, the bird list includes over 200 species, including Victoria's Riflebird, Blue-faced Parrot finch. Mammals include Tree kangaroos and Herbert River and Green Ringtail Possums.

Here a discrete self-contained one bedroom cottage in upland rainforest is surrounded by natural and established gardens, and at 1,160m provides a cool summer and cosy winter retreat. Uniquely the cottage integrates art within and outside. Contemplation, inspiration, privacy and comfort, are all to be experienced, along with exploring our forest and local environmental features.

We are close to many well known National Parks rainforest walks and Etty Bay which is a Qld Surf Life Saving patrolled beach with a stinger enclosure.

Hemingway’s on the Hill is a rustic private indulgence. Set high on the hill, bearing witness to the best of rural life. Cows graze paddocks, and flocks of birds fly overhead. Life is everywhere. Curated by Interior Designer Fifi. She wrote a story for the life to be lived in the space. Like the great man himself, thoughtful yet spare enough with surprises of artful collection. The Winston is a beautiful old church in the retro town of Innisfail which we have been renovating for about a year. It’s about a 15 minute walk into town. The area has many attractions close by Paronella Park, Etty Bay where you will see cassowaries walking along the beach, Babinda Boulders, Josephine falls, the Mamu canopy walk, white water rafting in Tully and Mission beach just to name a few
