Situated at the start of the Wasdale and Eskdale we are perfect for anyone wishing to climb Scafell or just enjoy the two stunning valleys. Brave drivers and cyclists may wish to tackle Hardnott pass at the top end of Eskdale. Ravensglass village and beaches a short walk away, also set on the Fell above the cottage is the amazing Muncaster Castle and Owl centre. Children and Pet friendly 🐾👍🏼

It is very close to Scafell Pike- the highest peak in England, Wastwater lake- the deepest in England and the coast is a 10 minute drive. The house has breath taking views over the fells and is well equipped with all you will need including a log burner, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Free wifi included. Pets are very welcome and there is a private fully secure garden. Extra Charge of £30 per stay.

Footpaths head off in all directions, offering both high & low level walking. Traditionally built Log Cabin in a woodland setting, with exceptional views of the Western Fells. Relaxing and Cosy Atmosphere with a wood burning stove. The Cabin comprises of a Kitchen, mezzanine Bedroom, living area and adjoining bathroom. ( I list this cabin for 2 people but would consider allowing up to 4 guests if you contact me especially if you wanted to bring children for instance) Please note this property may not be suitable for guests with specific disabilities if a fire occurred.

The cottage is set on the shores of Wastwater and so offers stunning views of the lake and the surrounding hills. It is the perfect starting point for numerous Wainwright walks. Scafell Pike, Yewbarrow and Illgill Head can all be started from the doorstep. Very easy access to the lake for paddleboarding, kayaking and wild swimming.

The King George pub is only a minute walk away, serving lovely home cooked food and real ale. The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, known locally as “La’al Ratty” is only a ten minute walk from the cottage. Eskdale Stores is open daily. The cottage itself has been recently renovated and has a secure garden with lovely views, ideal dogs.
