Nestled high on the hill, this private, cozy mountain sanctuary offers breathtaking views of Lake Cuyamaca and majestic Stonewall Peak. Enter the door of our serene and peaceful zen home and feel your entire body relax in the calming space. The floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors open to a deck where you can enjoy a morning coffee, an evening glass of wine or a restorative yoga session. Maison Zen is ideal for a couple's getaway or an individual's "escape." Not suitable for children or infants.

Cranberry Cabin

Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic cozy cabin on the top of the mountain. A basecamp ready for your Palomar adventures. This is a tiny home, 19' x 11' (the bedroom is 11x11ft). Max sleeping capacity: 2 adults and one child under age 5. No AC. Valley views are from guest accessible property, not directly from the cabin porch. Max 2 dogs stay free - disclose bringing them. $100 cat cleaning fee on top of our $50 cleaning fee, and we will charge $200 if you fail to disclose your cat(s).

The Wood Pile Inn getaway

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. This historic cabin built in 1920 was recently refurbished to its old charm with some modern upgrades for your comfort. The original owner of the Cabin was an author named Catherine Woods. She wrote the very first book on the history of Palomar Mountain; Teepee to Telescope. You'll find a copy in the cabin for a good read.Lots of natural light make this little cabin feel spacious, the windows throughout the cabin offer a beautiful forest view.

Conveniently located 3-minutes from the village, it is easy to enjoy the charms of Idyllwild and the beautiful San Jacinto mountains from the Treetop Terrace.

Mid-Century Modern A-Frame Secluded with Hot Tub

Secluded mid-century modern A-Frame cabin located in the Pine Hills community of historic Julian, CA. Built in 1969, the cabin completed a 2.5 year renovation in 2023 to meet modern tastes and amenities but keeps the original 60's groovy vibe. This unique family retreat offers a 900 sq ft deck, hot tub, firepits, and stunning views. Julian, a 1.5 hours drive east from San Diego, is a small town with big activities: hiking, biking, fishing, winery/breweries, winter sledding, apple pie eating.

Bluebird Tiny House Forest Retreat

This vintage horse trailer was reimagined into a Tiny house by Lane and Laurie as a couples project in 2018 which they completely gutted and remodeled using beautiful natural materials like wood, old fashioned wood cabinetry, handmade ceramic tiles and woven bamboo. Bluebird Tiny House is tucked into a secluded forest meadow, named for the bluebirds that spend part of the year there and there are miles of private trails to enjoy. Also on property is a Yurt with gym and yoga equipment .

Cedar Crest

Cedar Crest is a nicely remodeled cabin while keeping its original charm. It is easy access. A few steps lead you to the deck in the middle of the trees... This cabin can sleep 2 people in a king bed and if you would like to bring your kids, the master bedroom has a full size futon. (Kids sleep free) For pet owner, the east side of the cabin has a fenced-in space. We recommend you do not let them be there unsupervised as a motivated mountain lion could jump the fence and arm your pet.

Lazy Y Guest Ranch Jacuzzi, stars, peace and quiet

The jacuzzi, AC and heat are all in working order. A million stars and no cars at 4200’ elevation. Stay in a 25' renovated 1990's trailer with AC and a 280 sq ft covered deck with misters and fan, propane grill and PRIVATE JACUZZI! Dedicated WiFi bridge insures solid connectivity. Fresh air, no crowds, nice local trails. Local wineries and restaurants are tasty. Wifi is great. TV with Roku indoors; bluetooth speakers on the deck, and cows in the pasture. It’s a peaceful get-away!

This secluded, quiet little cabin is for all forest lovers, but would be most enjoyed by folks with an adventurous spirit (see Winter Access). You will be greeted with the stillness of the woods, sunrise + sunset views from two cantilevered balconies, all while wrapped in a cozy, luxurious interior.
