Welcome to our flagship luxury suite at Cliffs Edge Retreat. The Eagles Nest is our largest and most luxurious private suite, exemplifying everything that defines Cliffs Edge Retreat as a world class getaway. Two storeys high and nestled on the edge of a cliff, you will have panoramic views of the ocean and ecological reserve islands, where thousands of puffins return to nest every year. Throughout the spring and summer months, this area also acts as a common playground for humpback whales with their young and many other marine animals! Sightings of bald eagles flying by your suite is a common occurrence and one of the reasons for the name. The Eagles Nest boasts up to 10ft ceilings on the second level. Here you'll find the master suite with a king sized bed, floor to ceiling tiles in the oversized master ensuite shower, and a beautiful walk-through closet for those extended stays! On the main level you will be greeted with an open concept, featuring a full kitchen, a large living room with seating in front of a propane fireplace and windows all across the front giving you an unbeatable view. Outside on your oversized wrap-around private deck, you will find a 6 person saltwater HOT TUB and your own private SAUNA with a shower, all overlooking the ocean and ecological reserve islands. It also has its own outdoor cook centre with granite countertops and a seating area surrounding a propane fireplace. This area is covered overhead, so you can enjoy a meal or a couple drinks in any weather condition. In addition, you will have an uncovered private deck area for lounging in the sun right in front of your suite, also overlooking the ocean. The Eagles Nest has all the features and more for the perfect getaway to relax, rejuvenate, and soak in the natural beauty that Newfoundland has to offer. Cliff's Edge Retreat offers all its guests a couple common areas to relax in, aside from their own private suite. One is a large common area accentuated with interlocking brick, a wood burning fireplace and enough seating for everyone. The other is under a smaller pergola in the garden with a propane fire pit and a waterfall feature. Whether you're enjoying the heat of the fire, or gazing out at the ocean, your view is sure to be unobstructed with our surrounding glass railings. If the sound of the ocean waves and crackling fire was not enough, the ambiance of our surround sound speaker system is sure to give you a euphoric feeling that you’ve finally checked out of your day to day reality and arrived at your destination retreat.
