The windows look over the 101, nearby businesses, the Astoria-Megler bridge, and the Columbia River, where barges pass regularly. Please keep in mind that this is an older, quirky home! Works best for travelers who want a comfy, not a modern, space.

Capt Johnson House; history with river views

Enter with your passcode and you'll be welcomed by the parlor’s 10-foot ceilings. Your river view, two-bedroom suite, shower/bath and laundry are up the stairs. This landmark home was built in 1875 and is named for Captain Eric Johnson, a Swedish immigrant and riverboat pilot. The kitchenette has a microwave, mini fridge, hot pot and coffee maker. Owner lives onsite per city code, though there are no shared spaces. Astoria Homestay Lodging: 21-03.
