Located at the heart of the historic Village of Kinderhook, this stylishly renovated house is located amongst Kinderhook's collection of historic architectural gems. Within easy walking distance are eateries, wine and beer bars, The School I Jack Shainman Gallery, historic sites, the farmers' market plus farm stands, and quiet, scenic roads perfect for walking and cycling.

The Writer's Cottage

The Writer's Cottage is a tiny white house on a country road; vintage, complete, and inspiring. Built in the nineteenth century, it's perfect for a solo traveler or a pair of travelers exploring the Berkshires and the Hudson Valley. If you like rustic buildings, you'll be a fan of the cottage; it's an incredibly cozy time warp. Queen bed and living quarters downstairs; airy loft up a narrow set of enclosed stairs. There's an orchard and lawn with grill, hammock and ironwork table.

Our private cottage is set on a peninsula at a cove where a trout stream enters the lake. There is an incredible amount of wildlife, especially all types of birds. Sunny views abound. The house boasts a bright wood interior with a cozy feel. It has two and a half baths. There is a first floor queen bedroom with cathedral ceiling, and on the 2nd floor another queen room and a twin room-2 single beds.The adjacent lake teams with wildlife, seasonal weeds do grow. This is a bright and airy carriage house located on the second floor in a quiet walkable neighborhood. Living room has a drop down movie screen, brand-new sofa with chaise and pull out queen sized bed. Galley kitchen is new with a Smeg stove and oven, dishwasher. Bedroom has a queen size adjustable bed, 52 inch TV with wifi and cable. The bathroom has a soaking tub and a walk in shower a vanity with double sinks. Cabin 9 has expansive views of the Erie Canal/Mohawk River, fully stocked kitchen with granite, huge front porch with table, gas grill and relaxing chairs PLUS a screened in back porch for relaxing with a woods view. Kayaks & tubes at the common area between 9 &10.
