A beautiful and tranquil setting, you will find it peaceful and relaxing. Facilities include a double bed in the main bedroom which can be split into two single beds, and a sofa bed in the lounge area. The property is a converted attic space and therefore has a sloping ceiling so be careful not to bump your head! Only 5 miles from the new North East 250 tourist route and Snow roads tourist route. Bothy means basic but read the reviews it's got charm. There are woodland walks direct from the bothy. DIRECTIONS TURN up the track that has a green sign for Strathdon Lodges about 500 metres to the east of the SPAR SHOP.

'Muggans' (named after the Mugwort that grows by the steps) is entirely off-grid and has everything you'll need for a comfortable and memorable getaway, including a wood burning stove to keep you cozy, a wood fired hot tub to soak in under the stars and pizza oven for luxury campfire cooking.

The old schoolhouse (built in 1866) has loads of character and feels remote and quiet despite being well situated just off the main Banff/Huntly road. Banff is about 5 minutes drive. The garden is large and you have full run of the whole premises during your stay. There are some lovely walks from the house.
