The Sergeants house is part of a former police station built in 1901 that has been renovated complete with all you require to enjoy a relaxing stay in the centre of a conservation area. With beautiful scenic walks to Blackhead lighthouse and the White Harbour and only a short drive to the world famous Gobbins cliff path and Islandmagee peninsula your stress will disappear. Bird Island Bothy

Wake with the rising sun, shrill calls of the wading birds, and waves breaking on the shore only meters away. The wild shore and vegetation provide a great habitat for birds, mammals, insects and spiders typical of the Irish coast. Wading birds can be seen feeding along the undisturbed shore. Bird Island Bothy has the feel of a sailing ship's cabin with chunky wooden beams, mock four-poster bed and plush velvet curtains. A great base from which to explore the Ards Peninsula.
