The Fisherman's Cottage

Escape the city life and bring your family to our tranquil piece of heaven. Here, time stands still and you can truly kick your shoes off and just relax from the minute you arrive. The Fisherman's cottage is located on a farm at the foot of the Drakensberg mountains; a short 17km drive from Mooi River. The cottage has panoramic views over a 6ha private trout dam and you can enjoy the spectacular sunsets while sipping your sundowner on the cottage patio, or the deck near the little waterfall.

Vista Road Farm Cottage

Relax with the whole family on this working farm nestled in the bends of the Mooi River. Experience the peace of the meandering Mooi River, nature, livestock and overlook the quiet bustle of an active farmyard. Unfortunately due to ongoing biosecurity measures access to the dairy and cattle areas will not be allowed. The cottage is self catering, and close to Mooi River town for supplies or takeaways. There is 4km of rough dirt road to access the farm (high clearance vehicles recommended)

Unit 3

Located only 3km straight off the N3 highway, it is perfectly situated on your way to the coast or back up to Gauteng/Freestate. You’ll love it because of the peaceful environment, the view of the dam with a massive lawn for kids to play. You can swim or you can fish or chip a few golf balls on the lawn. Ceiling fans and aircon for the warm nights and a big, under roof verandah. We unfortunately do not have wifi or TV's, we believe in talking to each other 😉 and that kids should play.

Rainbows End Country Escape- Bushbuck Cottage

Our 20-hectare farm provides the peaceful surroundings needed to truly unwind. With forest walks, fully stocked trout dams, and supplied firewood for those chilly winter nights, there is something for everyone. Bushbuck cottage has a queen bed and 2 single beds, and suitable for 4 guests. However, another mattress can be put down for kids. The farm is situated 30 minutes outside of Howick, on the midlands meander. High clearance vehicles recommended on our farm roads.

Little Brick Cottage

Situated on a working farm on the outskirts of Mooi River, this quaint, rustic cottage has a bedroom with a very comfortable double bed and en suite shower with toilet. It has a kitchenette and combined living room. The kitchenette contains a fridge, 2 plate gas cooker top and microwave. The cosy living area has a dinky little wood stove that warms the place beautifully on cold nights. It also has a small enclosed garden with a portable braai.

We are close to Giants Castle Nature Reserve, Highmoor Nature Reserve, Kamberg Nature Reserve, Glengarry, Cleopatra Mountain Farm House and Hartford House. Lake Zonk has stunning natural surroundings and amazing mountains. The house is right on the lake.
