The Nut House

Glamping in the trees. Come experience the beauty and serenity of being in the forest in a unique craftsman treehouse on beautiful Camano Island just an hour and ten minutes north of Seattle. Your private parking and short trail leads to a short cable bridge into a cozy 150 sq. ft. cabin 13 ft above the forest floor. You’ll be surrounded by mahogany walls with a cozy full size futon up in the loft. If the futon is too cozy a campsite is available. The treehouse is warm even on chilly nights.

Once tucked back into the woods, this newly improved 1920s cabin now enjoys a front-row seat to the grandeur of the Hood Canal thanks to a tidal creek that has washed away the sandy soil that once supported the departed trees. Aptly named the Osprey Treehouse because of the multiple Osprey that spent the summer hovering and watching us build this 20-foot octagon building around a single grand 42-inch old Douglas Fir. Oversized windows and a sliding door give you the feeling of being high up in the trees. Sleeps 2 adults. For safety reasons, we do not allow pets or children younger than 12. The entrance is level and parking close. The cleaning fee is $50 and applicable taxes are already added to your bill.

Winedown is proudly a family-focused property that is scent and shoe free.

Looking for a quiet place to get away “glamp” - our special cabin is the place for you. The cabin is SMALL and cozy. It features a queen bed in upstairs sleeping loft as well as a couch that pulls out into a double size sleeper, covered kitchen & private hot shower located OUTSIDE. There's an easy-to-use Incenelet toilet. Someone will meet you to go over check-in when you arrive. We allow you to bring 2 dogs for a $50 fee each.
