Cheerful 3 bedroom cottage on the Allegheny River

We built the summer cottage in 2006, for a summer home stayed on. We lived in the cottage 8 years when we wanted a bigger house. We love it year around. We are isolated with 3 neighbors (not close) and the river at our front door. Good boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing, swimming , hiking, bird watching (with a eagle nest across the river). December through February, it is best if you come with 4 wheel drive. Having said that , we keep the road plowed and the hill sanded.

Fully remodeled cabin in a quiet setting that you will find cozy and peaceful with frequent wild life visitors to the yard. Deer can be seen almost daily, along with occasional visits from turkey, woodchucks, rabbits, chipmunks, squirrels, and rarely a bear. The private screened-in back porch is a favorite spot. Close enough to other towns ( Franklin & Oil City 25 min; Meadville 30 min; Erie 60 min).

Cottage sleeps 6 and has most of the amenities of home including air conditioning, forced air heat, wood stove, well and septic. Additional staying quarters located in an adjacent cedar Cub House which has 4 beds, 2 lofts, and air conditioning. Cub House Closed for Season. Opens back up April 1st.

Great location for hiking, near the Oil Region Allegheny Bike trail, Allegheny River and East Sandy Creek. The surrounding woodland is great for hunting deer and turkey.
