Crater Lake House is a large house with an open living and dining space at the centre of which is a cozy fireplace. Enjoy spectacular views of Kyaninga Crater Lake and the Mountains of the Moon. This serene getaway is a 20 minute drive from Fort Portal. The lake is clean and safe to swim in, and you can enjoy beautiful walks along the 4 km rim, and/or explore the Crater. Our cottage on the edge of the world was built by hand with regional materials. In a village near the town of Fort Portal (30 min), you will find peace, hospitality and a sense of community. A perfect space for volunteers and vacationers who want to support a grassroots organization (even for a longer period of time). The cottage is part of the community organization Kuza Omuto and a local school. So you will experience the real village life of West Uganda .

The Shine house is the perfect place to relax, refresh, and enjoy the beauty that Uganda has to offer.
