This place is all about location! There are far more exciting restaurants in Vancouver, but if you aren't looking for any surprises and find yourself hungry after cycling the seawall all day then this isn't a bad spot.

Very pretty and very large public place to stop for a break and grab some street food during the summer. I would consider this the very heart of Vancouver. It is located right next to Pacific Center Shopping Mall, Robson Street Shopping, The Vancouver Art Gallery, Granville St. Skytrain, the Vancouver Law Courts and more.

There's always lots going on here - outdoor festivals and recreational activities like biking and going to the Aquarium. If you're here in July be sure to go to the "Fresh Air Cinema" at 2nd Beach. Also bring cash so you can buy food on the beach! Drinking is not technically legal in public spaces in Vancouver but lots of people sell beers on the beach too. Just keep it hidden and you'll be fine.

Sometimes they have great seat sales and I've been able to fly from Downtown Vancouver to Downtown Victoria for cheaper than the cost of catching the ferry which takes 4 hours. Plus you get a pretty great view!
