(15 minute drive) Lotus Kitchen offers more healthy, local, organic type options. The older home turned restaurant has a cozy feel to it and you can eat outside with water views as well. You order at a counter and they bring the food to you.

Delicious, organic and creative offerings. Great coffee bar. Best breakfast deal in town...5 bucks!! And, you can dine outside if the weather is good and gaze at the Patuxent River. Very friendly, trendy spot.
