The Tankerton Slopes give stunning views over the Thames estuary. On a clear day you can see Sheppey and Essex and also the various Maunsell Forts, the windfarm and many ships passing by on their way up or down the estuary.

Great to walk along the Slopes anytime of day, but at low tide you get to see 'The Street'. Home of Park Run every Saturday at 9am.

Great swimming and views: voted one of top 3 beaches in the UK in 2020. no shops, no fuss, no bars, just beach huts and a walk/bike path and....the sea. Is deeper than Whitstable proper so high tide lasts longer here.

This is a bit of a hidden gem that locals wil often keep to themselves! Quieter and with more space than Whitstable town, the slopes offers beautiful sea views and grass to watch the world go by, including certain specific butterflies that are from this part of the world, or look down at the beach or people on their boats, jetskis orpaddle boards.
