Stout Grove is the world's most scenic stand of redwoods. It's not all that large, and it doesn't have the biggest trees, but for sheer photogenic beauty nothing beats this extraordinary grove.

Love this hike! I would rate this hike a beginner/intermediate. It's pretty easy but can a bit slippery if it is wet. There are two hiking entrances into the grove. The river hike is intermediate and not recommended if raining. Main entrance is easy. The redwoods are right along the Smith River... it's awesome!!!
