Kualoa Regional Park is a beach park is not good for swimming as it can have rip tides. However, it is a beautiful spot to have a picnic or just relax it. The small island in front of it, locally known as Chinaman's Hat, is very pretty at sunrise and sunset. It is a quiet peaceful place to visit…
Chinamen's Hat.....Swim, paddle a surfboard, SUP or kayak out to island. hike to top, top part just a bit dicey, hiking schoes needed......just incredible
Sunny calm expanse of beach with grassy flatland. Great for a picnic getaway and spectacular views of Mokoli'i (Chinaman's Hat Island) and nā Ko'olau.

“This is not in our neighborhood. Its about 45 minutes away at the Northest :-) North Shore. But, this is our friend Mike's place -Mike's Huli Huli Chicken and because his place has been featured on FoodNetwork, HGTV and The Travel Channel, some many times that he's now a celebrity. Its also on the list because they cook great food and he never hesitates when people ask to take pics. And people ask all day, everyday.”
