Sunrise Mindful walk & Meditation at Rumassala Peace Pagoda
Unawatuna & the surrounding mountain Rumassala has a special place in ancient history from the epic "Ramayana" to the amazing energy the rocky oceanic cliffs provide. I quit my job in mainstream advertising and moved to Unawatuna over a decade ago in search of peace and tranquility and lush green forests and ocean views. I have been a yoga and meditation practitioner for many years and the morning sunrise in Unawatuna over the rocks is a magical event that many do not take the time t appreciate. The Japanese peace pagoda that sits on top of the rocks provides a perfectly tranquil and zen environment to meditate and start the day with intent and love. We will start just after the morning at sunrise 7am on the main beach Unawatuna as we set the mood. We will have a brief chat about Rumassala and its' ancient history and significance in the ramayana as its' mystery and community and take a silent meditative walk up the hills through the village and watch the natural world around us wake u to the first rays of the sun. We will walk into the Japanese peace pagoda as the monks did in ancient times in silence one behind the other where we will sit in a circle and start with a session of breathwork and guided meditation that will be intention based on your intention for your day or week or life. We will end the tour with a sharing circle and a breakfast snack of fruits and herbal tea.
