Located in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, near the pretty village of Strangford. We are a 25min drive to the Mourne Mts, golf courses, and several beaches and 50min drive to Belfast. We are in walking distance of the National Trust's Castleward Estate. Strangford has several shops including a chemist, a newsagent, a cafe, convenience stores, pubs and restaurants as well as the ferry crossing to the Ards Peninsula. You can cycle/walk to the village through the Estate.

The Bolthole in Strangford is a small cosy home located in one of Northern Ireland's beautiful coastal villages. The house dating from the early 1800's, with a later extension, has living, dining and kitchen area, two bedrooms and bathroom. There are great views across Strangford Lough to the coastal village of Portaferry. Strangford village is a great location near historic houses, castles and the Mourne mountains. It has great restaurants, pubs and perfect for Game of Thrones enthusiasts.

Enjoy time with family and friends in the large open-plan living space overlooking the quay. Watch the ferry cruise back and forth and the sailing boats come and go, right at the bottom of your private garden. Have breakfast on the terrace and maybe catch a glimpse of the resident dolphins.

Our other cottage, which is immediately adjacent, sleeps 4 and people often rent the two properties together for larger groups.
