My husband Calvin and i live in Madisonville on 2 acres ...since the kids are gone we have 2 spare Bedrooms in our home to offer for our guests We created a great relaxing front yard with Koi fish ponds Bird feeders Flowerbeds and a nice front deck to overlook and hear the splash of water from the fountains while you can have a nice Breakfast with fresh Yard eggs ....yes we have our very own chickens too! The drive to downtown New Orleans is about 45 minutes to an hour depending traffic!

Cozy Cottage on Little Tchefuncta River

Myrtle Cottage is a private guesthouse on 40 acres featuring lovely gardens, abound with local trees such as Live Oaks, Magnolia's, Pines and vintage Beech Trees and stocked pond. Wooded trails lead to the bluffs giving access to a picturesque white sandy beach on the Little Tchefuncte River. A paradise for bird watchers and enthusiasts of local wild life.
