Απέχει μόλις 30 μ. από τη θάλασσα και 150 - 200 μ. από τις αμμώδεις παραλίες του Μονόπετρου και των Ρηχών Νερών. Στην άλλη μεριά του κάστρου το λιμάνι με τις ταβέρνες και τα παλιά καφενεία.
