Águamel Sintra is a family-run Boutique Guest House set in a beautiful building dated 1885 that preserves all the charm of an ancient family home. This house features architectural standards of secular houses, such as the high wall with the typical courtship window and large gate, patio and roof garrets overlooking Sintra mountain range and the belfries. The bedrooms offer a visual experience and promote the spirit of true voyages. Each has its own personality and unique decoration, but the good taste is constant and modernity and design combine in local antique details.

New Family Country House

It is an early 20th century building, erected from a pre-existing construction that dates back to the XVIII c. confining the boundaries of the Sintra Cascais Natural Park. The building's architecture was inspired by the aesthetic movement of the ‘Portuguese House’ sought to find the roots of Portugal's ancestral traditional and rural architecture. The wooden ceilings, terracotta floors, thick stone masonry walls, attics, roof eaves and windows in traditional colors, stand out from this movement.

The house is located just off the main road from the historical centre of Sintra to the village of S. Pedro, 3 minutes away from the Sintra main park and just below the Gothic Santa Maria church originally dating from the 12th century, 15 minutes walking distance to the train station and to the Sintra palaces. Cooking is NOT allowed. FREE parking and breakfast included. A municipal tourist tax will be charged for overnight stays: 2 euros per person per night, up to a limit of 3 nights.
