The Tin Shack

"The Tin Shack" is a beautiful container-built cabin situated on a hill behind the West Coast town of St Helena Bay. The cabin overlooks the entire bay with the majestic Cederberg mountains in the distance. It has two ensuite bedrooms, each with a shower, basin, and compost toilet. The spacious open plan kitchen/living area has a cast-iron woodburner fireplace which makes the cabin warm and cozy even in winter. The spacious deck has a Weber BBQ, outdoor seating, and a woodfired hot tub.

Our room is a private space; be it for honeymoon, couple’s time, or a young family’s getaway, kite surfers or the business man. We are not into the usual “mass accommodation style”. We love adding a personal touch. Enjoy the HOT TUB or heated indoor swimming pool. Available 24/7 all year. Solar system and gas. Safely dry your kites and wet suites in the locked up pool area. We have Sprinbok on our property. Nature is all around, yet we are a mere 5km from Langebaan centre.

OLIV House is your home away from home, but with the sound of the ocean in the background an amazing view of the Langebaan lagoon. Our goal was to create a space where we would want to spend our own holidays and then share this with family, friends and guests. The house has all the amenities that you need including a fully stocked kitchen that includes that air fryer that no one can go without. games table and a wood fired hot tub available as well for all to enjoy !

Situated on a 1.4 hectare small holding a five-minute walk away from the closest bay. Spring time we are covered with a carpet of flowers.
