A beautiful place to have breakfast, brunch or lunch, out on the terrace surrounded by ancient trees and lush greenery of the Company's Garden. Some tables have great views of Table Mountain, and there are some cool kinetic outdoor sculptures by the entrance. 6 days a week (not on Sundays or Public Holidays) a huge cannon is fired from the small Naval base on the top of Signal Hill. This has been done for over a hundred years, and was originally a means for ships anchored in Table Bay to synchronise their clocks to enable accurate navigation. You can hear the sound of the blast all over the city. Making the 10 minute drive from the apartment to watch the gun being fired is thoroughly recommended. The views from up there are amazing - and the sound is even more impressive. Don't be late though! ;-))
