Open weekends, Apr-Nov. Great setting on the water, often able to catch live music and take a boat ride. Famous, truly local farmer's market. Buy a breakfast/lunch from vendors and find a picnic table or place on the dock to sit and eat. Could get crowded and is touristy but worthwhile.

Nice indoor taproom (but can be very loud) and decent food. Wide-open outdoor space with seating, fireplace, bocce, outdoor kitchen next to their own veg garden and neighboring farmland. Iconic beer known for its hoppy deliciousness (ask me for recommendations).
Very popular and can get busy; I recommend getting there early to avoid a wait during nice-weather days.

Beautiful cascading falls on one side of the gorge trail. Fairly vigorous hill hiking but not too long. Quick trip (10 min) from our home. You can extend your hike/run into the Bear Trail at the top of the Buttermilk trail for a longer trip. There is a seasonal per/car entrance fee.

Buttermilk Falls State Park
Beautiful cascading falls on one side of the gorge trail. Fairly vigorous hill hiking but not too long. Quick trip (10 min) from our home. You can extend your hike/run into the Bear Trail at the top of the Buttermilk trail for a longer trip. There is a seasonal per/car entrance fee.
Beautiful and extensive herb and flower garden. Can be a bit touristy at times but generally a quiet spot. Small shop in a newish building with interesting architecture and sometimes hosts art installations/events.

Out-and-back rail trail leaving from Cass Park on the west side of town (8 min from our house). You'll enter woods after the first 1.5 miles. A bison farm (Glenwood Farms) awaits you about 3 miles out. The trail ends at the neighboring town of Trumansburg.
