Drinks & Nightlife
This place is below the old Roma restaurant (which is now reopened) and is all brick on the inside with candles everywhere. Think Speakeasy style, down-to-Earth bar, with upscale drinks. Walking distance from my place, and very worth going to.

Sightseeing
This observatory was built at the time when The Customs House (on Fore St.) was actually on the waterfront. The thought of this observatory was to alert customs that ships were coming into port. This way authorities could meet the ships as they got into port and watch them unload.

Walk out to this light on the breakwater. Once you're at the lighthouse, look left for views of Casco Bay and the Atlantic, look right for views of Portland Harbor, look straight for views of the Calendar Islands.

Just go! Grab a coffee from Hilltop Coffee and wander around outside in the beautiful park overlooking Casco Bay and Portland Harbor. Literally, just go! From my house either walk the half hour all the way down Congress Street, or grab an Uber to Hilltop Coffee and walk the rest of the way.

A bowling alley all jacked up. This was renovated a few years back, with two additional floors put on, and a rooftop bar with an Airstream Camper Trailer up on top that sells tacos. Go for the fun, enjoy the view.
