Smiths' menu is full of locally grown produce and home-cooked food. They do a wonderful cooked breakfast and great lunches. They often have local artists' work exhibited and it's a great place for breakfast or lunch with a view right out to sea.

"Purveyors of Fine Burgers, Fries, Craft Beers & Good Times" - I should say so! The best burgers for miles around! Now take away or delivery only (plus outdoor seating). They have a new much larger venue at The Yard in central Hastings off Queen's Road. There's an eclectic burger menu and delicious rosemary fries. The portions are very generous and we've never made it to the dessert menu as we've been stuffed to the gills! The atmosphere is fun and lively, the prices very reasonable and the staff are the friendliest around.

Graze on Grand is one of our favourite local spots. It's a wine bar/café/restaurant and gallery on St Leonard’s seafront. Find all "life’s pleasures – delicious wines, mouth watering food, smooth Viennese coffee and, the cherry on top, art work to aesthetically complement your experience". The staff and atmosphere are convivial and the music events are a great excuse to hang out for the evening. Wines are available to take out and the selection is very impressive. There are wine tasting events held regularly too.

St Clement's seasonal menus include fish from Hastings’ beach launched fleet and produce is sourced from traditional butchers, rare-breed farms and non-intensive dairies, local farms, fishermen & grocers. It has a relaxed and informal atmosphere and is perfect for an intimate dinner. Accurately described in a July 2014 Telegraph review as "Michelin-level accomplishment with an easy-going charm". Perfect service and a real gem in the neighbourhood.

Our local! Such a great warm and welcoming place and a real hub of the community. There's an eclectic art collection, a stash of board games and an upright piano. It has a constant flow of events - live music, DJs, Posh Jumble Sales, Bingo Nights and a regular Wednesday quiz night (every fortnight). A very inclusive pub with a wide clientele.
