Unnamed RoadGorgeous, easy-to-moderate trails just a two minute walk from your door, on the hill behind picturesque Vermont Academy. Great place for picnics, dog-walking, vista-viewing and there's even an old ski-jump you can climb for an amazing near-panorama--incredible in autumn especially!

An old railroad bed is now a wide, picturesque walking trail, right alongside the West River where you'll sometimes see kayakers shooting past!
Stunning river to view from the banks, swim in and for fantastic kayaking and canoeing. Vermont Canoe Touring Center in Brattleboro is about 25 minutes south and will outfit you with all you need. Lovely walking paths along the West River inlet are just across the street from these folks, as is the Marina Restaurant, right on the water.
